Muvattupuzha Voting Delay: Voting machines trap voters in Muvattupuzha; Breakdown 2 hours – delay faced for polling at muvattupuzha due to technical issues

Muvattupuzha: The voting machines at the polling station at Vazhakulam Infant Jesus School broke down for two hours, trapping the voters. The voting machines were damaged from 11.30 am. Voting resumed in the afternoon with the introduction of a new voting machine. Many voters returned home after voting was disrupted.

The long queue of voters at the booth was felt even after dusk. Voters demanded an extension of time for polling. Officials said the candidates had discussed with officials that those arriving by 6 pm would be given the opportunity to vote and then those in the queue would be given the opportunity to register to vote by token facility.
