Star Wars will not only be about the Jedi and the Sith. With the Skywalker Saga over, the franchise is looking for whole new angles.
Until now, the Force users had an important role in that. But now that the Skywalker Saga is over, the franchise looks much further and it looks like there’s a third superpower in the universe from now on.
De Mandalorians
“Mandalorians have been part of the universe since the beginning of this 40-year-old mythology. They have played just as important a role in shaping the history of the galaxy far, far away, as have the Jedi and the Sith, whose Conflict between the light and dark sides of the Force has traditionally been at the heart of Star Wars stories. Ultimately, Mandalore emerged as the third superpower in the Star Wars universe, alongside the Jedi and the Sith. ”
That can be read in the book The Art of The Mandalorian by Lucasfilm, which shows that the Mandalorians will soon be playing a major role. It’s a remarkable fact, as the Mandalorians have hardly played any significant role in the franchise until now.
At most, Boba Fett and Jango Fett were really famous, but up to Disney + the series The Mandalorian started, their role was quite limited. But it is understandable: the seemingly endless battle between Jedi and Sith is over, so it is time for something new.
