Weather forecast: risk of icy roads and thick fog in Wallonia

The Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) issues a “yellow” type warning for the provinces of Liège and Luxembourg from 4 p.m. Wednesday until Thursday 10 a.m., due to the risk of patches of frost or ice.

This Wednesday, gray and mist dominated the sky. The maxima are between 0 degrees on the reliefs and 6 degrees at sea, in a weak to moderate southerly wind. It will be cloudy tonight and overnight with the possibility of sunny spells in the east and light rain showers in the west.

A freezing fog could envelop the Ardennes and Belgian Lorraine. As the temperatures will remain slightly negative, there will be a risk of patches of frost in the Ardennes this Wednesday evening. This risk will also be topical next night and again Thursday at dawn, warns the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) by issuing a warning type “yellow“for the provinces of Liège and Luxembourg from 4:00 pm Wednesday until Thursday 10:00 am.

More thinnings Thursday afternoon

Thursday will be dry and cloudy in the early hours. Over the course of the day, more thinnings will develop and they may even gain ground in the afternoon. The maximums will be between 0 and 5 degrees.

Rain on Friday

On Friday it will be mostly cloudy with spells of rain starting from the southwest. In Haute Ardenne, precipitation may take on a winter character. The wind will blow moderately and maximum temperatures will oscillate between 2 degrees in the Hautes Fagnes and 8 or 9 degrees in the extreme west.
