Competition. Will Metz station still be the most beautiful in France?

It’s off again for the competition of the most beautiful stations in France. For the third year, it is organized by Gares & Connexion, a subsidiary of SNCF. On November 25, we announced that Metz was among the 32 finalists. It appears in this peloton alongside Reims, Colmar, Strasbourg (but Nancy, no).

The group stage started on Monday, November 30. She sees Metz opposite the Saint-Charles station in Marseille. The duel begins this Thursday, December 10 at 10 a.m. until Friday same time. Metz started these qualifiers with a big chunk, because the Marseille supporters outnumber the Messins … But Metz has an advantage: it won the title in 2017 and 2018! (there was no competition in 2019). It therefore has an audience of faithful, very attached to this station so decried by the “French of the interior” in the 1920s!

Well, if she wins, she will have to fight against the winner of the Lille-Lyon match, to hope to be able to find Strasbourg in the quarterfinals (provided that it gets rid of Chartres, then Nice or Rouen). In short, we have a good chance of finding her in the semifinals …

To vote, nothing could be simpler: go to Facebook, on the SNCF Gare & Connexions account.
