Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – In Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, it is frosty and slippery. As the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Offenbach, there may be permafrost on Wednesday in parts of the Westerwald and Eifel. During the day it can occasionally snow a little in the southern parts of the country, and rain in the lowest areas. The maximum values ​​are zero to three degrees, in the higher mountains around minus one degree. In the night of Thursday it can be smooth with lows between zero and minus four degrees.

On Thursday it is mostly free of rain with maximum values ​​between one and four degrees. At high altitudes, permafrost can be expected again at around minus one degree. Even on Friday night, local smoothness is possible with lows between zero and minus four degrees. On Friday the temperature rises to two to four degrees. In addition, there is precipitation, in the mountains as snow, in the lowlands as sleet or rain.
