Because it has been supported, it is wrong if Anies does not visit Rizieq Shihab

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Former Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla assess the closeness of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan with the Leader of the Islamic Defenders Front ( REIT) Rizieq Shihab no problem.

He assessed that Rizieq certainly has political preferences and this was shown by supporting Anies in the 2017 DKI Jakarta Regional Election. Therefore, he assessed that there was nothing wrong when Anies visited Rizieq when he just arrived in Indonesia on November 10.

“As a person who is supported, it is wrong if Anies doesn’t come. That it is the risk Anies, the leader must have the risk of being considered this way. Whatever. In fact, it would be wrong if Anies did not come as the person chosen because of Habib Rizieq’s support, “said Kalla in an exclusive interview with the Chief Editor. Kalla also considered that there was nothing wrong with the support given by Rizieq Shihab to Anies in the 2017 DKI Regional Election. Kalla said, it is okay for someone to support a certain political leader candidate.

Kalla said that in the era of democracy, people were free to determine their political support in every election and regional election.

Kalla also said that at this time Rizieq had also been released from his legal status as a suspect because the police had issued an order for termination of investigation (SP3) for his two cases, namely the case of nasty chat and insulting Pancasila.

Because of this, Kalla said, everyone should not feel guilty when meeting Rizieq.

“He (Rizieq) is a free person, of course he is also objective during the last election, of course because of the two candidates (in the second round), of course the Rizieq group does not support Ahok, certainly not,” said Kalla.

“If you don’t support Ahok (Basuki Tjahaja Purnama), you will definitely support Anies. The question is very simple. So as a person who is supported it is even wrong if Anies doesn’t come, ”Kalla continued.
