The second half did not start particularly spectacularly, both teams relied on a similar style of play as in the first half and were thus largely in stalemate. Then in the 57th minute there was a moment of shock. After a cross into the penalty area Werders met Gonzalo castro the Bremen goalkeeper, Pavlenka, at full speed with his knee on his head and picked up the yellow card for this. Pavlenka stayed on the ground longer, but then played on. A questionable decision that is once again part of the multitude of questions that football should ask itself when players have head injuries. At least the teammates of the keeper were not shocked. After the situation, the people of Bremen took the scepter more and more in hand and pressed the equalizer.
