In the interview, Adamari admitted that at some point she believed that she could overcome the hard blow that her divorce with Luis Fonsi meant by herself, always relying on the love of her family, but things were not like that. “Before cancer, in general in my life, I thought that I did not need to go to a psychologist, that if I spoke with close people who loved me and who could guide me that that was enough. Besides (of) me I think that my communication with Daddy God is super good and that he always looks for how to send me the correct information so that I can move on ”, revealed the actress.

In 2013, Adamari López launched her book ‘Viviendo’ and there she revealed the chaotic ending of her marriage to the singer Luis Fonsi, which was quite a nightmare. In an interview with Telemundo, she told the true reasons that led her to end her relationship with Luis Fonsi.
“When I got divorced, there came a time when I said: ‘I can’t alone and there are things that I don’t want to tell people that I love’, because it didn’t seem like something I wanted as they knew and then I had to look that professional help that came in handy for me and allowed me to get over that moment. I think that if I had not gone to therapy it would have been much more difficult for me, “he said.

The actress also assured that at the beginning she received the support of Fonsi, but it was inevitable to tell what really happened in their marriage. “He (Luis Fonsi) was very important in my life, he was there at all times. Adamari Lopez stated that once the marriage with the artist went into crisis, he “Did not want to fight” and it was he who decided to separate, and he told her all this over the phone! Ada went on to say that Luis Fonsi made a strong and painful confession to her, because after having one of her breasts removed due to breast cancer, Luis Fonsi told her that he no longer wanted her as a woman.
“It was hard that first time I saw myself without a breast, seeing the scar, seeing the changes that occurred as the treatment progressed. My body changed. I didn’t stay that thin. It was swollen. It was, sort of, misshapen. He told me once, that he didn’t want me as a woman. I think that was one of the hardest moments of the whole process for me. When the person you love madly tells you that he does not want you as a woman, the world falls apart, “said Adamari López through tears.
But not only that, López also spoke about the infidelities of Luis Fonsi that she regretted having kept quiet, because she forgave the singer many times because she was very much in love. As expected, at that moment, Fonsi denied everything.
From that moment, Adamari López understood that therapy was something necessary in her life, so even today, she relies on it to be able to resolve some aspects of her marriage or of her person: Today I also practice it and I go (to therapy) and for my relationship with Toni Costa. I want my relationship to last a lifetime, but there are things that we cannot resolve if we remain silent or if there is no communication between us.
In 2011 Adamari López began a relationship with her partner from Mira Quien Baila, Toni Costa, who four years later became her fiancé and the father of her daughter, Alaïa. While Luis Fonsi for his part, rebuilt his life with the Spanish model Águeda López, with whom he has two children: Mikaela and Rocco.
