Take a light camper for the planes and / or nights of transit that you have in an airport (stopover). It can be a windbreaker or rain jacket (it helps them if they ever have some rain).
Otherwise they will always be hot and they will not wear many clothes.
Travel light, many T-shirts and shorts and only one long pants each (jean type) because you will hardly use them.
