New York –
Without their currently injured regular quarterback Drew Brees, the New Orleans Saints have won against the Atlanta Falcons and became the first NFL team to take part in the playoffs.
The Saints won thanks to two touchdown passes from Taysom Hill as playmaker 21:16 and now have ten wins in the NFL South with only two defeats. A prerequisite for the playoff ticket in the National Football League was the 30:34 defeat of the Chicago Bears against the Detroit Lions. Brees is currently out due to broken ribs.
The New York Jets, on the other hand, gave up the apparently certain first win of the season five seconds before the end and also lost against the Las Vegas Raiders. At 24:28, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw a final pass to Henry Ruggs, who carried the ball into the end zone for a touchdown and allowed the Raiders to make it 31:28. For the Raiders, the seventh win of the season was an important success on the hoped-for path to the NFL playoffs, the Jets, on the other hand, remained without a win after eleven games.
The Indianapolis Colts, meanwhile, took an important win in the division duel with the Houston Texans. After the 26:20 the Colts are now like the Tennessee Titans with eight wins and four losses in the AFC South. The Titans suffered a defeat at 35:41 against the Cleveland Browns.
