It is planned to complete the renovation works in Ādaži Secondary School soon in order to improve and adapt the premises for the placement of new kindergarten groups. In terms of number, it will be the third municipal educational institution that will admit pre-school age children declared in the municipality. After the merger with Carnikava region, the total number of pre-school educational institutions will reach five.
In order to improve the procedure for registration and admission of children in pre-school educational institutions of Ādaži municipality, the council has decided to establish a Child Admission Commission, which will monitor the line of children admitted to pre-schools and check the compliance of the list of children with admission. Similar commissions are already successfully operating in other municipalities, such as Mārupe and Ķekava districts. The task of the new commission will be to comply with the principles of good governance, data protection, as well as to ensure a fair and transparent procedure and communication with the public.
“The principle of multiple eyes will prevent human error. The new queue administration model will also significantly relieve the work of pre-school educational institutions. The commission will make decisions on the enrollment of children in municipal pre-schools, the establishment of a list of children to be admitted, regular monitoring of child registration data records and data control. By merging with Carnikava region, the complexity of work will significantly increase, because the work of pre-school educational institutions will have to be coordinated even more, therefore the task of the commission will be to forecast the capacity of kindergartens in several years, ”stressed Maris Sprindžuks (LRA).
