Rudy Giuliani has led the Trump campaign team’s legal efforts to reverse the results of the US presidential election.

President Donald Trump said Sunday that his personal attorney and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani tested positive for COVID-19.
–
The president of the United States wrote in a tweet: “Get better soon Rudy, we will move on!”

Giuliani, who is leading the Trump campaign legal actions challenging the 2020 election results, is the latest person in the president’s inner circle to become infected.

Trump, who caught the virus in October, and his team have been criticized for circumventing safety guidelines to prevent the disease.

During many of his events, he was seen without a mask and ignoring social distancing.

On Thursday he traveled to Georgia, where he repeated claims about a fraud in the vote on November 3 at a hearing of the state Senate committee on electoral security.

According to local media, dozens of people around Trump have tested positive for covid-19 since October.

Boris Epshteyn, another Trump adviser, tested positive shortly after appearing alongside Rudy Giuliani at a press conference on November 25.
