179 Students of Central Java State Vocational High Schools Exposed to Covid-19, Face-to-Face Learning Trials Stop

SEMARANG, KOMPAS.com – A total of 179 out of 223 students State SMK Central Java who underwent the test swab confirmed positive Covid-19.

This follows a report from the Central Java DPRD that after school it opened face-to-face learning trials.

The face-to-face learning trial at the boarding school was asked to be postponed until it was handled properly.

“Yes, I have received a report that the State Vocational High School ( Central Java) became a cluster for the spread of Covid-19 because many students were positive. I ask that it be handled properly until the results are negative, “said the Chairman of the Central Java DPRD, Bambang Kisriyanto, in a written statement, Friday (4/12/2020).

Bambang mentioned the latest information, the total positive students of SMK Negeri Central Java reached 179 people.

The case stems from the test results swab which was conducted on 8 students who experienced symptoms of cough, fever, and anosmia.

After that a test was conducted on the students and it was found that 27 students were positive for Covid-19.

The Central Java Health Office immediately did tracing and testing against 196 students.

Of that many tests, 152 people were exposed to Covid-19.

“The result today added 152 students who tested positive for Covid-19. So, a total of 179 people were positive. 5 people have been declared cured, only 174 students are still undergoing treatment,” he said.
