NEW YORK (AP) – At least two U.S. Marshals Service personnel and one suspect were shot in the Bronx early Friday morning, police said.
The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. Friday, the New York Police Department said, saying it had no immediate information on the status of the injured. Two or three sheriffs were injured, he added.
According to media reports, the sheriffs’ injuries were not life-threatening.
The police information office referred The Associated Press’s request for additional information to the United States Marshals Service. No one immediately commented at the body’s New York office.
