The 310-square-meter restaurant with 112 seats is located on the 2nd floor of the popular shopping center, overlooking the Acropolis Ice Arena.
Although the restaurant will officially start offering its favorite – open flame – burgers and other favorite dishes from today, due to the restrictions of the pandemic, the dishes will initially be available only for take-away or home delivery.
“Despite the obstacles we have faced this year, we are pleased to be able to offer world-famous and outstanding flavors from the Burger King menu to Latvian fast food lovers as well,” says Katre Kevaska, Tallink Grupp’s Retail Business Development Manager.
The Burger King restaurant, which opens in the Akropole shopping and entertainment center in Riga, is the first international brand restaurant to open outside Estonia and the sixth restaurant in the Baltics to open this year. The new restaurant in Riga will employ about 30 people. By the end of 2020, the company plans to open two more restaurants in the Baltic States: one in Vilnius, Lithuania, and the other in Tallinn, Estonia.
