“In collaboration with Daniela, we have three performances behind us, which are about strong female heroines. And now a completely different world awaits us, especially the male world. The world of Jan Werich. I’m looking forward and expecting to look into the thoughts and ideas of one of the greatest men we’ve ever had. In addition, I am interested in the communication of young Jan with the mature Werich and the confrontation of whether a person really became what he set out to do in his youth, or whether the path derailed somewhere and he does not really know himself. “My first question to the authors of the project after they offered me the collaboration was, ‘Why the hell am I?’ And I really ask myself this question even now, when I think about it every day. However, I decided not to stand in a corner, because I had been standing or lying there practically the whole of 2020, and I decided to gather the courage to accept this challenge, because in today’s world, we are all looking for meaning in what we do and why here. we do, I feel that working on this project can help me find the answer to these burning questions. I am very much looking forward to this work and I am determined to do everything with all humility and dedication so that we can all remind ourselves together with the spectators in the summer that once we are here, ”concluded Vojta Kotek.
