Warner Bros. yesterday announced a revolutionary new distribution model for 2021. The studio will release all its films simultaneously in cinemas and on HBO Max next year. Which seventeen films are involved exactly?

Next year, all Warner Bros. will also be released on HBO Max on the day of their theatrical release. The films can then be seen (free) on the streaming service for a period of 31 days. “In this way we ensure that cinema chains have a stable income stream and that film lovers can enjoy our titles guaranteed“, the film studio explained.

For the time being, this only applies to the United States; in other countries HBO Max is not yet active. Internationally, Warner Bros. therefore continue to follow the traditional release schedule. In front of Wonder Woman 84, which will be released on Christmas Day in America and a week earlier in the Netherlands, the studio takes the same approach.
