A worker died Monday on a construction site in the Rouen metropolitan area, accidentally beheaded by an excavator he was guiding.
The victim, aged 59, worked for a company which carried out work on a fuel depot site in Grand-Quevilly, in the agglomeration of Rouen.

“The excavator, during a maneuver, must have struck the victim and beheaded him,” added a police source.
An investigation was opened to determine the precise causes of the accident.
