As Christmas approaches, which is safest to spend at home this year, the children’s favorite characters Lupatiņi also invite to get to know their house. The fourth book in the series of interactive exercise books published by the publishing house “Liels un mazs” for preschool children “As Lupatiņi learned” – “Lupatiņu māja”, the publishing house representatives informed in a press release.
The first three of the five books in the series are already available for sale: “Cloths at the Table”, “Cloth City” and “Cloths in the Countryside”. Books can be explored with a special helper – a talking pen or digital device, with the help of which the books can not only be read, flipped and studied, but also listened to.
Rags – little cloth children Socks, Glove, Handkerchief and Pillow – live with their Cat in their cloth house. The rag house is big and full of surprises. What happened to the snow brought into the house and the Glove that fell into the water? Were there hidden treasures in the old attic chest? Is it allowed to play with the iron and which animal resembles a vacuum cleaner? What does the letter of your name look and sound like? What color is the Handkerchief plate?
The content of the book assignments develops the child’s understanding of the sequence of events, the size and colors of the objects, expands vocabulary, trains speaking and communication, helps to concentrate, teaches to listen and imitate sounds. There are also questions in the book where the little reader has to use his imagination or tell about his family, his body and daily habits.
There is no visible text in the book, but explanations and tasks on two levels can be found in the hotspots of the book’s openings. The dot is activated when you touch the image with the talking pen.
Poetry and excerpts from the songs of Jēkabs Nimmanis for the animated film cycle “Cloths” are also used in the points of the book.
The interactive material will stimulate and complement the child’s conversations with the adult – both in pre-school institutions and in the family.
The experience of the creators of the book shows that the adventures of rags in the community of talking pens seem equally exciting for children aged 2-3 and 4-7. Children of different ages have different abilities and perceptions, and different skills need to be developed at each age. There are both simpler and more difficult tasks in the book openings, so the books are suitable for children of different ages.
