The Association of Regions is headed by Cuba

The association was headed by Cuba’s President Jana Mračková Vildumetzová (ANO) in front of Cuba, but she withdrew from the region’s leadership after she became pregnant.

The association was then temporarily represented by the then Governor of Vysočina Jiří Běhounek (for the CSSD) as vice-chairman. In recent weeks, the Governor of Liberec, Martin Půta (SLK), has been temporarily appointed to represent the association. He remained in office as the only one of the current vice-chairmen of the association after the October elections.

With the election of a new boss, it was expected that the post-election negotiations in the regions would end and the governors would be elected. So far, this has not only happened in the Karlovy Vary region.

The representative of the Civic Democrats will head the association after 12 years, between 2001 and 2008 it was led by the current MEP Evžen Tošenovský (ODS).
