National Basketball Association (NBA) superstar Lebron James has agreed with the Los Angeles Lakers to extend the contract for two years, Robb Paul, head of Klutch Sports, the athlete’s representative agency, told The Athletic spokesman Shem Caranie.
The two parties have agreed on a maximum contract amount of $ 85 million. The contract has been extended until the end of the 2022/2023 season.
James joined the Lakers in the summer of 2018, when he moved from Cleveland to the Cavaliers as a free agent. In his first season with the Los Angeles team, he injured in 55 games due to injury, without the team entering the playoffs, but this fall he took the Lakers to the championship.
James is a four-time NBA champion, winning twice with the Miami Heat (2012, 2013) and once with the Cavaliers (2016) and Lakers (2020).
