Eppingen-Elsenz: Those involved in the accident and witnesses wanted
After an accident on highway 552 near Eppingen, the police are looking for witnesses and people at risk. At around 11 a.m., a 59-year-old drove his yellow Audi A3 on the road between Elsenz and Eppingen. On this route, the man met a green semi-trailer truck, partly on its lane. In order to avoid a head-on collision, the driver evaded his car to the right and came off the lane. There the car hit a tree stump. This resulted in property damage of around 20,000 euros. Instead of stopping, the truck drove on. The police are now asking witnesses and people who were also at risk to report to the Eppingen police station, telephone 07262 60950.

A 51-year-old caused an accident on the Autobahn 6 on Tuesday evening at the Weinsberg interchange. The man was driving his VW Passat on the transition to Autobahn 81 towards Würzburg at around 10.30pm. The man used his cell phone and read a message from a messenger service. A81 / Möckmühl: attachments lost – 15 vehicles damaged
On Tuesday afternoon, a truck with a trailer on Autobahn 81 lost a large attachment, damaging several vehicles. The 51-year-old truck driver was on his way to Würzburg around 1.30 p.m. Between the Möckmühl and Osterburken junctions, a tail lift of the trailer came loose and fell onto the road. Then 15 cars drove over the larger attachment. This damaged all the cars. There was total property damage of at least 10,000 euros.
Heilbronn: Vehicle found with many defects
Police officers pulled a BMW out of service on Tuesday afternoon because several illegal conversions had been carried out on the car. Around 4.30 p.m., the BMW and its driver were checked on Gottlieb-Daimler-Strasse in Heilbronn. During the inspection, the officers found that the window on the driver and passenger side was covered with foil. The exhaust system was also manipulated so that the BMW was significantly louder and therefore almost 30% more noise than allowed. In addition to these serious deficiencies, the police discovered inadmissible spacers on the wheels and a rear spoiler that required approval. After the inspection, the driver was only allowed to make a final drive in his BMW to remedy the defect. Now the driver and the owner of the car each expect a display.
