A convention swinger in New Orleans, United States, it became an event spreader of the Corona virus after 41 people tested positive for COVID-19.
Bob Hannaford, owner of Naughty Events and organizer of the event wrote in his blog post that at least 41 out of 300 people who attended the event tested positive for COVID-19.
Hannaford said he did not expect a five-day swinger party or swap party in early November to be a disaster, as organizers had taken precautionary measures against COVID-19.
One of the migrants was even reported to have been hospitalized in a serious condition after contracting the virus.
“If I could go back in time, I would not hold this event again. Even though most of the 41 positive cases were mostly asymptomatic or very mild cases,” Hannaford said. Fox Live, Wednesday (2/12/2020).
“The reason I won’t do it is because I know two people who have had a harder time and they are suffering. One of them, a good friend of mine, is hospitalized in a serious condition,” he continued.
Admitting regret and surprise, Hannaford said he did reasonably well, such as providing a bracelet that showed someone had the documents to prove they had antibodies.
There are also bracelets that have a negative COVID-19 result date as one of the requirements if you want to join the event. Participants are also required to keep queues and wear masks in public spaces.
Hannaford even remembers going out to dinner with friends to celebrate the climax of the X-rated extravaganza – which turned out to be too early.
“I wouldn’t do it again if I knew, what I know now. It weighed on me and it will continue to weigh on me until everyone is 100% better,” said Hannaford.
