The accident took place around 5.15 pm in the direction of the E40. No less than nine vehicles collided from behind each other when entering the tunnel at Koningin Astridlaan. No one was injured, but the affected vehicles were all damaged. Due to the accident, the left lane was blocked for traffic, which caused quite a bit of traffic jam in the middle of the evening rush hour.
