Prague After almost two months, life in the Czech Republic will return to relative normal. On Thursday, they can also open shops with restrictions, which the government closed in October as a measure against the spread of coronavirus. Traders are therefore now preparing for reopening and, in particular, for the measures associated with it.
Clothing or toy retailers must also comply with the regulations, which amount to fifteen square meters per person. For small shops in the city center, this can be a complication.

The Minister of Markets does not recommend
In the regulations for shops, the planned quarantine for tested clothing and footwear was finally abandoned. According to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Transport Karel Havlíček (for YES), there was a heated discussion about this topic. According to him, there was no clear agreement on how long the insulation should be. Some suggested 24 hours, another double, but according to some experts, even a few hours would be enough.
On the contrary, according to Havlíček, the government does not recommend or prohibit external markets. He leaves the decision to the municipalities and municipal authorities. Advent markets will be subject to the same rules as farmers’ markets, ie gaps between stalls of four meters. Food and drinks will also not be allowed on site.
