Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division, District Health Office Kulon Progo drg. Baning Rahayujati, M.Kes said that there was a negative stigma because the community considered it HIV AIDS is a shameful disease.
So that this becomes an obstacle for him to deal with the disease.
For that, his party improves service facilities for sufferers HIV AIDS in each puskesmas.
“In addition, for PLWHA, we will increase the assistance of fellow sufferers so that they can support each other,” he said after the commemoration ceremony HIV AIDS Worldwide in Adikarto Hall, District Government Complex Kulon Progo, Tuesday (12/1/2020).
Baning also said that obstacles in monitoring the spread of the disease were also triggered after the existence of a regional regulation (perda) on prostitution in Bantul Regency.
