Between sky, earth and lights
the great novelty this year is the creation of a “sky and light” pathway like a celestial vault in the streets of Luxembourg, Paris, Neuve, Deux places, du Mersch, and Four-Banal.

Spotlight on monuments
In addition to the giant tree installed on the forecourt of the town hall, its facade is, like last year, enhanced by a highlighting of the Advent calendar and the projection of holograms. The facades of La Scala, the tourist office, the top of the Belfry will also be illuminated. A video mapping will restore color to the Bastion place du Luxembourg and lasers will illuminate the Flea Tower.

Bear, reindeer and crib
There is no Christmas without a bear, nor is there a Santa Claus without his reindeer. Place Anne-Grommerch, the youngest can see the teddy bear chalet and slip their letter of greetings into the box intended for this very dear Santa Claus. A giant luminous bear has appeared on Place Au-Bois and equally giant and luminous reindeer illuminate Place Turenne, decorated with LED curtains. As for the large Christmas crib, you have to go to Place Saint-Maximin to see it.

Bulbs and numbers
The annual budget for Christmas lights is set at 150,000 euros. Installation and removal take 40 days and require the participation of fourteen people. 740 motifs are scattered throughout the city and villages as well as 8,000 linear meters of garlands on the trees made up of 90% LED.

A tree in each village
A giant decorated tree has been installed in each village to honor the tradition. Thus we find it at Place Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Volkrange, Place Saint-Roch in Beuvange, Place du Juge-de-Paix in OEutrange, Square des Commerces in Elange, Rue Basse in Kœking and Place Louis-Fougerousse in Garche.
