In the coming year, AMA-Marketing intends to increasingly rely on its proven quality seals and convince even more farmers, processors, dealers and consumers of the advantages of this program. In this context, the Agricultural Information Center aiz.info says that additional modules are being used.
The aim is to strengthen the modules in general, said AMA Marketing Director Michael Blass at an online event on November 26th.
“We understand the AMA seal of approval as a symbol that stands for the sensible middle, for local, high-quality and affordable products and for practical production conditions”, explained Blass. With this seal, they did not want to create “an elite program that would die in beauty in the harsh economic reality,” said the managing director. At the same time, you face new topics and challenges. It is said that this also creates trust among consumers and increases the added value of farms.
The “AMA Genuss Region” seal of approval is also to be promoted. In addition to the AMA quality seal and the organic seal for the food trade, it is a third official symbol. The basis for the award are the guidelines for the quality and origin assurance system recognized by the EU. Farm direct marketers, food manufacturers as well as gastronomy and the hotel industry can take part.
