Iranian nuclear scientist shot dead buried in Tehran

The murdered Iranian general and scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh is buried in Tehran. It was not a mass gathering due to the country’s strict corona measures. The top of the Shia regime was present.

The murder of the man behind the Iranian nuclear program, near Tehran on Friday, is attributed by Iran to Israel.

“Remember that name”

Israel never comments on attacks associated with it. Two years ago, the scholar was mentioned by name by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in a television presentation on the Iranian nuclear program: “Fakhrizadeh, remember that name.”

In addition to being one of the country’s foremost nuclear scientists, Fakhrizadeh was also a senior officer in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. He worked at a research institute of the Defense Ministry and previously at a university of the Guard.

Israel and the US have long accused Iran of working on the development of nuclear weapons. Tehran states that it does not want nuclear weapons, but it does want nuclear energy.
