Last week, a mysterious email landed in the inbox of the editorial office. The content: The fitness and health studio should again face bankruptcy. The letter is supported by an extract from the edict file of the Ministry of Justice.
When I asked the fitness studio operator Erich Haiderer, he fell from all clouds. “I am not bankrupt, nor am I in debt. I didn’t receive this letter either, ”the Ybbser wonders.
In response to a request from NÖN, the Kreditschutzverband (KSV) emphasizes that there are currently no bankruptcy proceedings. So why the entry in the edict files regarding a debt settlement procedure including a court date on December 16 at the District Court of Melk? According to a spokesman for the KSV, the entry, which is published once a year, is related to a rehabilitation process by Haiderer that was completed almost a decade ago. “Here some creditors still owe the operator money,” says the credit protection association.
Haiderer: “I don’t have any loans”
When asked about the statements, Haiderer confirms, who in the meantime also started the research, the NÖN research. “At that time, a good 300 people didn’t pay, a significant part of the mountain of debt at the time and a reason for bankruptcy,” Haiderer doesn’t want to think back to back then. That was long enough now, the two fitness studios in Ybbs and Grein are doing well. “I don’t have any loans,” says Haiderer.
Haiderer suspects a fitness studio operator from the neighboring district of Amstetten is behind the attack. “He has spread false rumors against me on several occasions. My lawyer is looking into a lawsuit for defamation and credit damage, ”says Haiderer. The gym operator does not understand why this action could take place either. With the corona crisis, fitness studios are currently going through a difficult phase anyway: “Everyone is currently struggling to survive. It would be better for us if we all stuck together. “
