Covid: curfew in San Francisco and record of infections in Japan, but no cases in China

Covid cases worldwide have exceeded 62.2 million according to data released by Johns Hopkins University, while confirmed deaths are 1,452,430 since the beginning of the pandemic. Curfew in San Francisco
The curfew will start tomorrow in the Californian city of San Francisco. Non-essential business activities will be closed and meetings banned from 10pm to 5am, until December 21st, Mayor London Breed announced. San Mateo County near San Francisco is also affected by the same measures.

Japan
Japan records its record of new cases since the beginning of the pandemic: 2,688 infections in a single day.
This was announced by the Japanese Ministry of Health, according to international media. No new local cases in Mainland China
The National Health Commission today said no new cases of “local” transmission of Covid-19 were reported yesterday in China, with 11 new cases coming from abroad. Among the new “imported” cases, the commission said in its latest daily bulletin, four were recorded in Fujian, three in Shanghai and one each in Sichuan, Yunnan, Shaanxi and Gansu. In total, 16 other patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the disease yesterday in mainland China. Germany
Germany has recorded 14,611 cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, according to the bulletin of the Robert Koch Institute, which reports 158 new deaths. The total number of infections in the country thus rises to 1,042,700 with 16,123 deaths.

France
There have been 12,580 new cases in France in the last 24 hours, according to the government’s health site, for a positive swab rate of 11.4% (compared to 11.7% yesterday). There have been 213 victims since yesterday, while resuscitations (-106 compared to yesterday, total 3,777) and hospitalizations (-480, total 26,168) are still decreasing.
