A large part of the Gamekings editorial team has now been able to lay their hands on the PS5 and the Xbox Series X for several days. And as promised, we would announce which console was whose favorite at the end of Next-Gen November. So JJ asked Daan, Koos, Boris, Skate and Jelle to see which of these two consoles they currently like the most. And of course JJ also joins in. So is the PS5 currently the editorial favorite? Or the Xbox Series X? Maybe even a PC slides in between. Because Game Pass and 3080. We take a look at the Xbox Series X and the PS5.
Xbox Series X
The Xbox Series X is the first next-gen console we could lay our hands on. Microsoft’s new console came out on November 10, 9 days before the PS5 was due to release. One of the first things that stood out was the lack of first party Xbox Series X Exclusive content. The Series X and S came out without a major First Party title. The console therefore mainly relied on Third Party titles and their Xbox Game Pass service. A large part of playable Xbox Series X games are Xbox One games that are optimized for the Series X. Did the latest Xbox console nevertheless offer enough during the first release weeks? Or do you like the PS5 better at the moment?

During the PS4 generation, little seemed to go wrong for PlayStation. Exclusives were very high quality and the console itself sold like crazy. So it’s not surprising that a lot of people were excited when the PS5 was announced. But even now it can be concluded that the PS5 has not had the best launch in all respects. The PS5 is currently missing some First Party PS5 Exclusives, of course there is Demon’s Souls, but that’s a Remake and Miles Morales. And that will also be released on the PS4. But what the PS5 does offer is a completely new controller with features such as Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers. What will be decisive for the six gentlemen …
