Telework. S-Hub: a return to teleworking on December 1

At the time of confinement, one of the buzzwords remains that of “telework”. However, the S-Hub, inaugurated in 2019 with the assumed aim of giving pride of place to this other way of working, has, as in the spring, remained closed since the end of October. A closure whose reason may be more in the very conception of teleworking. “In Luxembourg, the instructions of companies are to do” homeworking “, that is to say to work from home, decrypts Élodie Dumétier, operational director at Sodevam which operates the place. This is also the case in France. In addition, we are neither a third place, nor a coworking space, which meet different rules. “

Difficult compliance with health protocol

The director asserts it, however, the issue of the closure was not decided lightly. But discussed internally and with customers, the outcome could not have been different, even with the measures put in place in summer in the form of glass walls between the offices, reduction of work space gauges or further the provision of hydroalcoholic gel for workers. “For us it would have been complicated to keep the place open in the sanitary conditions requested,” explains Élodie Dumétier.

Following the government announcements of Tuesday, November 24, S-Hub announced a reopening on December 1, guaranteeing a gauge of 8 m² per user. Regarding meeting rooms, customers will have to enforce distancing and barrier gestures.
