KOMPAS.com – Apple officially launched iPhone 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max in a virtual event titled “Hi, Speed” last October.
Despite his presence information on Indonesia still mysterious, there are now a number of rumors claiming that the newest line of iPhones will be launched in the country next month.
At least, according to a local site that discusses everything about Apple products, MakeMac.

On that date, other sources also claim that Apple will release four iPhone 12 models at once in Indonesia.
However, this rumor cannot be confirmed because Apple previously released the iPhone 12 in two stages, namely the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro first (October), and the iPhone 12 Mini and 12 Pro Max later (November).
KompasTekno has contacted a number of Apple official resellers in Indonesia, such as Erajaya (Erafone & iBox Indonesia) and Digimap.
However, until this news was broadcast, neither Erajaya nor Digimap had responded.

To be sure, information about this iPhone 12 line can already be seen on the site Apple.com in Indonesian, which now looks more detailed and detailed, such as the complete specifications for the four variants of the iPhone 12.
However, the site still displays information “Check back for availability information”, indicating that the availability of this new iPhone line in Indonesia is still uncertain.
Government approved
The existence of the iPhone 12 in Indonesia which is increasingly being detected is also strengthened by the “blessing” given by the government, namely the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kemenkominfo).
From the Ministry of Industry, the iPhone 12 (A2399), 12 Mini (A2403), 12 Pro (A2407), and 12 Pro Max (A2411) compact have pocketed the Domestic Content Level Certificate (TKDN) with a value of 30 percent.
For information, a TKDN weight of at least 30 percent is one of the requirements for 4G cellphones to be marketed in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, from the Ministry of Communication and Information, through the Telecommunication Equipment Certification system (Sirani), the four iPhone 12 model numbers on the Ministry of Industry’s website have also obtained radio frequency usage permits.

So, when referring to the previous timeline, the newest iPhone itself is sold in Indonesia within two or three months after obtaining the TKDN certificate.
iPhone 11, for example, received a TKDN certificate at the end of September 2019. The cellphone can then be officially ordered in Indonesia in early December, to be precise 6 December 2019.
So, if the iPhone 12 received a TKDN certificate at the end of October 2020, then it is likely that the iPhone 12 will be officially sold in Indonesia around the end of December 2020 (maybe 18 December) or early January 2021. We are just waiting for the certainty.
