In the first episode of the new season we meet Aadje and Richard who have their eye on a spacious villa in Calpe, Spain. Here they want to start a Bed & Breakfast entirely in the style of Versailles. But that does not go without a struggle.
Even before the gentlemen have reached the seaside resort, they receive a sad phone call from the family in the Netherlands. Just at the border of France, Aadje’s sister calls with news that their father has collapsed and been resuscitated. When the weather is over, Aadje and Richard return to the Netherlands, but once home it turns out that it is already too late. Father Aad is in hospital and is kept in a coma.

The gentlemen do not have much time for their grief, because they still have to go to Spain to sign for their new home. They cannot enjoy the new chapter in their lives, because Aadje soon has to return to the Netherlands to say goodbye to his father. A stark contrast to the adventure that beckons in Spain. “Actually you should scream with joy… Life can be strange.”
The bad news just keeps on coming. When Aadje wants to return to Spain after the commemoration, the corona virus throws a spanner in the works. Because there are no flights, Aadje is forced to stay with his mother in the Netherlands, while his friend is alone in their new home in Spain.

In the meantime, the entire renovation has also been considerably delayed, about three months. And that while the B&B should already have been open. However, the men do not regret. “We have had a very busy summer with many guests who came to visit us. The corona virus has thrown a spanner in the works, but we are all affected”, they look back on the eventful year on the site of the program.
“We hope that 2021 will be the year in which this terrible virus will be suppressed because we all yearn for our old life again. How good it was all of us! So you see: appreciate what you have and be careful with each other. ! “
