Twenty-eight-year-old Plíšková was looking for a coach after announcing in early November that she had broken up with Venezuelan coach Daniel Vallverdú. Bajina showed in the photo together with fitness trainer Azuz Simčič, above which she wrote: “Team Plíšková 2021”.
According to her husband and manager Michal Hrdlička from the beginning of November for the daily Sport, the Ukrainian Olga Savčuková and the physiotherapist Salvador Martín should continue with the Czech number one.

Thirty-six-year-old Bajin was a sparring partner of Serena Williams and also collaborated with the Danish Caroline Wozniacka. Under his leadership, Osaka won the US Open 2018 and the Australian Open 2019, after which they broke up. Bajin coached the Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovicová and this year the Ukrainian Dajana Jastremská.

Plíšková has had a different coach every year for the past five years. After the 2016 season, Jiří Vaněk left Petra Kvitová and broke up with his successor David Kotyza after the US Open 2017. Until August 2018, she lasted with Tomáš Krupa, who was replaced by Australian Rennae Stubbsová and Spanish Conchita Martínezová joined her from the US Open.
She ended her collaboration with the Australian woman at the beginning of May last year and with the 1994 Wimbledon winner Martínez in November. She shared Vallverdúa, who had led her since last November, with the Swiss Stan Wawrinka, which was the reason for the breakup.
