According to the minister, the effect of area testing has disappeared and the curve of those infected is starting to rise again in Slovakia. The average number of deaths associated with covid-19 is currently 30 cases per day. “The situation in the Prešov and Žilina regions is the most serious,” Krajčí added.

Almost 2,000 infected daily
In Slovakia, new cases of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 were recorded on Thursday, 1849, and 22 people died. There are 1480 patients with confirmed covid-19 in the hospitals, of which 101 in the ICU and 122 in pulmonary ventilation. A total of 103,106 people have been tested positively in the country so far, and 771 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic in Slovakia.
