Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Nissan presents a new face for the challenger to the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Toyota fortuner via Terra. Terra has undergone an overhaul both in terms of interior and exterior.
This change in the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) with a ladder-shaped chassis is present for the Middle East market, although it was previously planned to be marketed in Asean to replace the current model as a facelift.
At the front, Terra’s face is changed through the shape of the grille, lamp design, and puts forward the distinctive Nissan design language called V-motion. The next revision is on the rear through the shape of the lights to the bumper.
While the rims are available in two options namely 17 inches and 18 inches, citing Paultan.
Changes were also made to the cabin sector with a new dashboard which is claimed to highlight the luxury side. This car is also equipped with a larger nine-inch touch screen, complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection features.
Carscoops said that unlike Terra in most other markets, for the Middle East region, cars do not use diesel engines.
There Terra or X-Terra carries a 2,500 cc QR25DE-coded gasoline engine with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The power produced is 165 hp at 6,000 rpm and 241 nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
However, a number of countries that also sell Terra expect this car to come with a new YS23DDT 2,300 cc twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 190 ps and 450 nm. This machine is already offered to Terra in Thailand.
The new Terra in the Middle East also has several advanced features including an automatic braking system, blind spot warning, and a 360-degree camera.
It is not certain when this car update will be present in Asean, including Indonesia. However, in the Middle East it will start selling in December 2020 with prices starting at US $ 27,200 or around Rp. 384 million.
