Schools – Heilbronn – Southwest schools receive more than 30 million protective masks – Education

Heilbronn (dpa / lsw) – Over 2700 schools in Baden-Württemberg are to receive a total of more than 30 million face and nose masks in the next few weeks. This is what Baden-Württemberg’s minister of culture, Susanne Eisenmann (CDU), told the “Heilbronn Voice” and the “Mannheimer Morgen” (Friday). Only elementary schools are excluded. This is the country’s second large delivery. In the last two weeks of the summer vacation, around 24 million masks were sent to schools in the southwest.

The infection numbers would show that schools are demonstrably not corona hotspots, Eisenmann said in the newspapers. “Nonetheless, we have noticed that people’s fears have been played with more and more recently. We also perceive diffuse fears within the teaching staff,” the minister continued. They take these fears seriously. For the upcoming deliveries, FFP2 masks would be taken from the country’s inventory.
