The book ‘Resilience’ was presented on Wednesday afternoon during a modest presentation to Mayor Wilma Delissen van Peel en Maas and Deputy Ger Koopmans.

The book paints a picture of the inhabitants of Peel and Maas during the first wave of corona. Copywriter Karin Jacobs, photographer Dick Holthuis and designer Dennis Vredeveldt have been working on the book, which will be available from Thursday 26 November.

Peel en Maas was badly hit by corona during the first wave. Mayor Delissen considered this during the handover. She is also in the book with her story. The makers noticed how people dealt with the virus. “Despite all the concerns, there was a lot of togetherness, creativity and flexibility,” Jacobs said.
