The Latvian Trade Union of Educators and Researchers (LIZDA) has decided to demand the resignation of the Minister of Education and Science Ilga Šuplinskas (JKP), the chairman of LIZDA Inga Vanaga announced at a press conference today.
Šuplinska was ready to support only one of the 15 LIZDA demands, two demands would be partially supported, while the others would be completely ignored, Vanaga said.
She also pointed out that the social dialogue with the minister has deteriorated since the meeting of the LIZDA council.
