The last word will not have a table, but the Minister of Health Jan Blatný (for YES) with the chief hygienist Jarmila Rážová. Covid’s statistics are declining and trends look positive.
–
When Minister of Health Jan Blatný (for YES) presented the five-level anti-epidemic system PES last Friday, he stated that in order to move to a lower level of alert, the values of the so-called risk index will need to stay for seven days, specifically in the period from Thursday to Wednesday. range of values assigned to a lower degree of risk. The risk index includes several different aspects – including the value of the reproductive number, the number of newly infected seniors, the proportion of positive tests and more.
–
Since Monday, the Czechia is at the fourth level and is “peeking” after the third level, in which shops and services could also open under certain conditions. According to current data, however, the situation in the Czech Republic does not meet the methodological conditions.
–
Minister Blatný has the last word, regardless of the methodology
“The methodology says that it takes seven days, but the final decision is human. It will therefore depend on the decision of the Chief Hygienist and the Minister. Theoretically, however, it is possible, our morbidity is declining, ”Ladislav Dušek, director of the Institute of Health Information and Statistics (ÚZIS), generally responded to Novinky’s question, referring to Rážová and Blatný, as they decide on further measures.
–
The risk index remained at 62 from Thursday to Sunday, which still, although marginally, corresponds to the fourth degree. It was not until Monday that the index dropped to a “triple” value, specifically the number 57.
–
Thus, although it is clear that the seven-day condition will not be met, the third stage of the PES is still in sight and there is a real chance that the Czech Republic could, for example, transfer to it from Monday.
–
The values are still borderline
“It depends on many indicators, it’s not just an index. We’ll see how it fluctuates. For example, morbidity indicators are also evaluated, but at the moment all these trends are very positive. The number of patients in hospitals is also declining, ”Dušek assessed the situation.
–
However, he pointed out that there is a possibility that in the coming days the statistics may “jump up again because the values are borderline”.
