The number of infections, hospital admissions and deaths continues to decline. Every day, an average of more than 3,500 infections are registered in our country.

Between 13 and 19 November, an average of 3,672.3 people in our country became infected with the corona virus every day. That is a decrease of 28 percent. This is evident from figures from health institute Sciensano on Monday. As of today, people without symptoms will be retested, which could give a kink in the statistics of the infections.
A total of 558,779 people in Belgium have already tested positive for covid-19.
During the same period of November 13-19, an average of 170.4 people died from the virus every day, 14.8 percent less compared to the period before. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 15,618 patients have succumbed to covid-19 in Belgium.
Between November 16 and November 22, there were an average of 304.3 new hospital admissions every day. That is a decrease of 34 percent from the seven days before.
According to the most recent figures, there are currently 5,024 people in hospital, 1,194 of whom are in intensive care. It is about stabilization.
About 29,900 people are tested every day. The positivity ratio, the number of people who test positive in relation to the total number of tests, is now 15.5 percent. The last known r-value dates from November 21, when it was 0.75. The figure has recently dropped below 1 again, which means that the pandemic in our country is shrinking.
