Following Aruba, Bonaire has also decided to no longer allow passengers from Curaçao without a negative corona test. The government of Bonaire announced this on Saturday.
From Monday, passengers from Curaçao may only enter the island if they can show the result of a negative PCR test. Aruba already announced on Friday that it only allows Curaçao passengers with a negative test result.
The number of infections on Curaçao has increased significantly recently. Last Wednesday, 315 people were infected with the virus on Curaçao. On Friday, that number had risen to 640, with 60 new infections in the past 24 hours.
Two new registrations of corona infections were added on Bonaire on Friday. The total number now stands at five. Five new infections were registered in Aruba on Friday. In total there are now 73 infections on the island.
