Danger warnings across the country

The storm in southern Norway took only a short break on Friday, before it was night again on Saturday.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a number of danger warnings for this weekend.

On Saturday morning, the ferry connection on county road 669 across the Edøyfjord in Trondheimsleia on Nordmøre was canceled due to bad weather.

The same applies to the ferry route Vennesund – Holm, which connects Sømna and Bindal municipality on Helgeland.

While county road 51 Valdresflye in Øystre Slidre in the Inland is closed on Saturday morning due to bad weather.

Night to Saturday, there have been several traffic accidents on the roads, including in Agder, Troms and the Oslo area. But no serious accidents have been reported.

More warning

On Saturday and Sunday, snowstorms are expected in the mountains due to snow weather.

There will be strong winds from the south and later from the west, it is said in the latest warning.

It is especially Dovrefjell, Jotunheimen and Hardangervidda that are covered by the forecast, and the meteorologists ask those who plan to drive in these areas to calculate some extra time for transport and driving, use the right tires and drive according to the conditions.

A danger warning has also been issued for snowdrifts in Troms and western Finnmark.

On Saturday, wind in combination with fresh snow could create locally difficult driving conditions.

High water level

In addition, it also warns against a yellow danger warning of high water levels along the coast of Eastern Norway and Agder.

– Check moorings and secure loose objects at the bottom of the beach zone, the meteorologists encourage.

The storm will probably ravage large parts of the weekend and will probably not pass until late Sunday night.
