The number of Galician municipalities at the maximum alert level, 3, due to the incidence of the coronavirus in the last week falls to 14, when it was activated again this Tuesday in O Barco de Valdeorras (Ourense) and when the Pontevedres Poio and Nigrán left just one day after going red.
In addition, according to the ‘traffic light’ map updated daily by the Ministry of Health, the municipalities of Ourense, Santiago, Arteixo, A Laracha, Narón, Culleredo, Ordes, Ames, Vilagarcía de Arousa, continue at level 3 due to the pandemic. O Carballiño, Barbadás, Verín and Cangas do Morrazo.
The entry into the maximum risk level of all these localities implies that they detected more than 21 cases of coronavirus in the last seven days, with the exception of Ourense and Santiago. These two, having more than 50,000 inhabitants, are on red alert for adding more than 120 infections, in the case of the city of As Burgas, and more than 112 in the Galician capital.
Meanwhile, in situation 2 –in the orange level of the map– there are 19 municipalities, two more than on Monday, of which 15 repeat with respect to the last data update: Vigo, A Coruña, Pontevedra, Lugo, Ferrol , Fene, Oleiros, Carballo, Mesía, Teo, Vilanova de Arousa, Gondomar, O Porriño, Salvaterra de Miño and Boborás.
Thus, the five that join the orange alert are the municipalities A Estrada, Tui and Marín, for having worsened the incidence to seven days; and Poio and Nigrán, who do it after they entered the red level this Monday.
For their part, they leave situation 2 Pereiro de Aguiar -now he is at level 1, in yellow- and O Barco de Valdeorras -just raised to level 3-.
In orange, municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants are included with 56 and 111 new cases of COVID-19 per week per 100,000 inhabitants and in those with a smaller population with between 14 and 20 cases.
