Three people were indicted and imprisoned, Thursday 20 November 2020, for attempted murder and organized gang extortion after shots fired at a house in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur. This case dates back to August, when, in the middle of summer, a house on rue Marie-Noël was targeted by several gunshots.
An intervention by GIGN
Several people were therefore arrested less than four months after the shooting in the frame “a legal operation“which involved, according to the Prosecutor’s Office of Dijon, among others, the GIGN antenna (Intervention Group of the National Gendarmerie) of Dijon. Drugs and a semi-automatic weapon were also discovered. The Dijon public prosecutor’s office opened a judicial investigation for attempted murder and organized gang extortion.
Seven bullet holes on the facade of a house
As a reminder, in August, seven bullets hit the facade of this house, one of them even smashed the bay window in one of the bedrooms. “If my husband had taken a nap in bed, there would be no husbandVanessa, the mother of the family occupying the house, said at the time of the events. These shots were in fact intended for the previous occupants of the house, linked to drug trafficking. It is still the preferred track, believes the Dijon prosecutor’s office.
