The Dinolights light festival, which was to take place this winter at Zoo Planckendael in Muizen (Mechelen), is being canceled due to the corona measures. Anyone who has already bought a ticket for the festival will receive a refund for the ticket.
Dinolights in Planckendael would normally take place from November 27 to January 10. “Due to the corona measures, numerous events are prohibited in the entire province until January 31, 2021,” the animal park said.
“Unfortunately, this also includes Dinolights and the light festival in Zoo Antwerp, which this year was all about Alice in Wonderland. We looked forward to the bright spots in these difficult days, but public health comes first. That is why we turn off the lights this year, so that we can make them shine that brightly next year. ”
Anyone who has already bought a ticket for the light festival will receive a refund for the ticket. Dinolights would be the first light festival to be organized in Planckendael. Some of the luminous statues were already set up in the park, but must therefore be demolished again. Earlier this year, a Lego dinosaur exhibition was also canceled due to the corona measures.
