German police are investigating the death of eight elderly people from corona in a nursing home. Hygiene measures may not have been properly observed.

In the retirement home in the Bavarian municipality of Grosswallstadt, 39 of the 41 residents turned out to be positive. In addition, 20 of the 34 employees were infected with corona. The elderly all died within two weeks of or with an infection, German media report.

In a Berlin nursing home, fifteen residents recently died after a corona outbreak.
