Mohamed Sharif, the Al-Ahly player returning from a loan at Enppi, confirmed that he had received a number of offers after his brilliance with the petroleum team.
In televised statements to the “Al-Allaib” program on MBC Egypt, Sharif stated that his contract with Al-Ahly is extended for two seasons.
The Al-Ahly player revealed his meeting with the team’s coach, Pitso Musimane, after returning to training: “Musimani held a session with the four players returning from loan, and spoke well with us to support us in the first session with the team.”
Sharif promised Al-Ahly fans to appear well with the team next season, saying: “I will score more goals with Al-Ahly than I scored with Enppi last season.”
Last season, Sharif scored 14 goals with the petroleum team, to enter the struggle for the league’s top scorer title with Abdullah Al-Saeed.
He also held on to the player’s opportunity as a fundamental: “There are many distinguished players in my positions in Al-Ahly club, and I will do my best to play a basic role.”
And about his brilliance with the national team in his first appearance against Togo: “I was training well in training the national team. The opportunity to play is available for all players. I was not surprised, and the chances are equal, and I received congratulations from all the players in the team after my goal in the Togo match.”
Sherif scored the national team’s second goal against Togo in the match, which ended with the Egyptian national team winning by three to one, to get close to qualifying for the African Nations Cup in Cameroon.
Sharif also expressed his wishes for the Al-Ahly club to be crowned in the CAF Champions League, where Zamalek will face on November 27th at Cairo Stadium in the final of the tournament.
